Christmas Celebrations in Hong Kong

This year is the first time in my life that I'm spending Christmas in Hong Kong. So it's a big change for me. (plus Last year I spent it at work! )

We had an early christmas celebration dinner which I cooked!! In Hong Kong, the hardest part was finding a turkey and taking it home.

Not in the pic we also had Yorkshire puddings, cauliflower cheese, and apple crumble for dessert. Everything was cooked from ingredients and not ready-made! Honestly, it takes a lot of time and effort, so take time to appreciate and help whoever is cooking on Christmas day.

For the first time in forever, I get to see all the Christmassy displays in Hong Kong. They even have panda!!

Went to enjoy this cute Christmas afternoon tea platter.

Hair has been dyed black for the winter. I think I actually prefer brown hair.. So when it gets to spring I'll just help myself to the many different brands of hairdye in Hk ^^

An early christmas gift from my favourite person. Have you ever tried these sweeties before?? P. S. it's my new phone cover.

wishing everyone a lovely Christmas xo

Panda: Pork Chop Bun and Donuts

This blog post is part 1 of 3 on the Tokyo Ueno Station
So, when you first walk out of the train station you will find arrows pointing to  ‘Ecute’ store. Follow them. You will get to a mini department store full of nice food, here are some of the panda themed items!
The Panda katsu pork and egg sandwich. This is honestly my most favourite thing I ate in Tokyo, I dream about the next time I can eat it again!

The egg is perfectly cooked, oozing out. Eat it whilst it is still warm! I ate this then I bought another one to eat, whilst walking around…
In the same food store there are PANDA DONUTS!!! They are a brand called “Siretoco” and they make Panda Donuts. Look at this cuteness. They taste really good too. There is no filling, it’s not your average donut. It is not deep fried, tastes more like a circular cake but still very nice and moist ^^

They also sell mini versions ^_^

keep walking around ecute store and you’ll find a lot of other cute food, too much to try them all in one visit!

Happy New Year !

Sorry about the lack of updates, but anyway!

These are my DIY BIGBANG crown frames which I made out of Fimo clay, basically just made a crown shape, and imprinted a Bigbang B onto it (by cutting out some paper in that shape) Then cook the Fimo clay, it hardens, so then you colour in the B with some black permanent marker and stick it on your frames.

SO I wore these to the HK BIGBANG alive tour date 10/12/12 in Hong Kong! It was Seungri’s Birthday and he had a panda cake!

I visited the Dogside Cafe in Causeway Bay, it’s where Dogs are welcome! they also have their own dogs who live there so even if you don’t have your own you can go and cuddle their ones! The one the right is called Creamy! She’s adorable.

Another place we went to is Etude House!!! Finally there is one in Hong Kong =] Looks just like the ones in Korea, a big pink shop in the middle of Mong Kok, you can’t really miss it.

These are the new It’s Skin BB creams that I got ! They give OK coverage and are really smooth. I like the colour too (it’s better for lighter skin tones)

Panda swiss roll + recent pics

hello, just an explanation on the panda swiss roll. (not an actual recipe here because it’s easier if you have some knowledge on how to make swiss roll, or else you can find any swiss roll recipe online and adapt accordingly!)photo (59)

yes I made this ! ^^ the panda faces are embedded into the actual ‘cake’ part. not in any way painted on.

basically you need to colour the Swiss roll batter before you cook it. Then draw on the design onto greaseproof paper, cook for 1 minute in the oven using the black first, then the white, then finally filling the whole thing with green (pandan flavour) and then baking it all together. *i.e. you need to cook each colour separately so that they don’t mix*

E.g. my freehand panda drawings- drawn using batter in a piping bag. this pic was after I had cooked the black for 1 min, then added the white batter on top.( so that the colours don’t mix). Then you add the entire green batter on top and cook as normal.

ok so time for some random recent pics!

I put some studs on this denim dress :)

photo (60)

studs from ebay. Dress from HK.

I also tried out StyleSuzi’s trick on getting instant ombré hair. Get some coloured hair spray from a drug store and spray it on XD. Only really good for testing out colours and seeing if this style is what you really want, before you go for the real thing.
