Christmas Celebrations in Hong Kong

This year is the first time in my life that I'm spending Christmas in Hong Kong. So it's a big change for me. (plus Last year I spent it at work! )

We had an early christmas celebration dinner which I cooked!! In Hong Kong, the hardest part was finding a turkey and taking it home.

Not in the pic we also had Yorkshire puddings, cauliflower cheese, and apple crumble for dessert. Everything was cooked from ingredients and not ready-made! Honestly, it takes a lot of time and effort, so take time to appreciate and help whoever is cooking on Christmas day.

For the first time in forever, I get to see all the Christmassy displays in Hong Kong. They even have panda!!

Went to enjoy this cute Christmas afternoon tea platter.

Hair has been dyed black for the winter. I think I actually prefer brown hair.. So when it gets to spring I'll just help myself to the many different brands of hairdye in Hk ^^

An early christmas gift from my favourite person. Have you ever tried these sweeties before?? P. S. it's my new phone cover.

wishing everyone a lovely Christmas xo

Mini panda haul

I'm back with a mini Panda post. Here's some panda I came across recently. There was a panda outside the chocoolate shop and they were giving out free popcorn. There's actually a person inside, luckily it's winter and the person is probably quite comfortable in there.

Can't say no to free popcorn!

After this I went on a panda shopping spree. Bought this cute calendar at a shop in Mong Kok. I can't wait to use it!

Also got this cute hair tie.

and this panda chuppon! It drinks up water through the straw and self waters the basil which grows in the panda's basket at his back!! I'm so excited to grow my own basil hehe.

Have a nice day x

Adorables in Tsim Sha Tsui

oh Hi :) apologies for the 3 month silence, I was busy with exams (as usual). So here are a few things I have been up to lately, all are in one of my favourite places, Tsim Sha Tsui (TST)

I hope this helps those of you who are looking for cute things to do/see in Hong Kong. (follow my links for directions :)
First of all, start in LCX, Harbour City in TST where the Moomin's have arrived for Christmas!

They also have opened a Moomin cafe, which is so busy that there were 20+ people outside waiting for a table, so unfortunately I did not get to try it out this time. ( will blog about it when I do!) But you can visit the shop any time to buy some Moomins to take home with you :)

Further into the complex of LCX I finally found the Ghibli/Totoro shop! you can't really miss it as there's a massive totoro at the door, he feels furry too like real life ^_^

There are many many souvenirs to buy here!

Next place which is a must visit for me when in TST is Granville street, where they have my favourite streetfood store that sells purple taro egg waffles, and next door to that is a bubble tea shop. Perfect right? The rest of the street has boutique fashion stores and recently opened a Monki!

One of my favourite stores is called Suye, and I bought this cute cat/ panda?/animal-eared beanie hat!

For the evening, we went to dada bar and lounge, which has an Alice-in-Wonderland feel to it, furnished beautifully. We had unlimited snacks, cheese and wine for around ~200 HKD. I wanted to take those chairs home.

my study buddy! hope she doesn't mind me posting this pic but here's a close up of the chairs :)

I'll be back soon :)

Shrekfast with panda bread!

Super excited about this! So the bf brought me to Macau especially for this themed hotel breakfast. It is part of the Cotai, Dreamworks package and is at the Holiday Inn Hotel in Macau.

Such an awesome experience and a perfect start to the day!
The session starts at 9am, and lasts until 10.30am. It is like a showXbuffet breakfast.

The seats are set out like a fairytale banquet ^^
In terms of food, they have all the usual buffet breakfast foods of a nice hotel ( didn't take many photos of the regular food but they had a range of oriental and western breakfast foods) they also added in some cute features, for example, Panda bread!

Honestly just tastes like normal bread but OMG it's panda bread. I was very happy. My idea of a perfect breakfast: Eggs benedict and panda bread.

and did I mention they also had Panda baos?? These are filled with sweet red bean paste. So good!

So whilst you stuff your face with all the food, they bring out all the dreamworks characters, who dance on the stage and also give you a chance to take pictures with them! Po was very popular so I didn't manage to get a pic with him haha.

me with puss in boots

and with the penguin from madagascar!

Overall it was amazing and so worth it. Highly recommend it for the food itself, and especially if you're into dreamworks movies! it's great for kids and adults too. Plus it's not only for children, it seemed that more of the people there were adults actually. Bear in mind it is hosted by a hotel/casino!
